Testing system, interior “TSV (door side panel)” (Porsche Panamera)

Task

On behalf of Samvardhana Motherson Peguform (SMP) in Neustadt on the Danube, a supplier of exterior and interior modules to several premium automotive brands, HEITEC designed and built an automated testing system for side panels.

Implementation

A five-axis system with a line laser and 4 cameras, as well as an electrical function test, guarantee the installation of all electrical components and the presence of all the screws and clips necessary for correct installation.

In addition, the installed cable harnesses and related components are connected to the testing system via specially designed adapters and their functionality is verified by means of analysis software. The fully automated testing system can test 4 side panels simultaneously with a cycle time of 90 seconds per panel.
