CHALLENGE
Vossloh Locomotives is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of diesel locomotives for shunting and main-line operation. In addition to three diesel-hydraulic models (G 6, G 12/G 18), the company’s standard portfolio also includes two diesel-electric models (DE locomotive versions such as DE 12/DE 18). The current product range is based on a modular principle. Dual-mode locomotives (diesel-electric) are also under development and a wide range of services is available.
IMPLEMENTATION
HEITEC produces and tests various components of the electrical equipment for a number of different diesel locomotives. In addition to a variety of e-modules and device cabinets, HEITEC also supplies control cabinets for the gel batteries and external power supply as well as all control and operator panels.
The specifications are defined by the customer based on the type of locomotive.
